Greg Smallwood - Land & Development Consultant
Greg Smallwood heads the department which is specifically aimed at marketing land, new homes and new developments across the entire branch network of Linley & Simpson which serves North and West Yorkshire. Greg is in an ideal position to be able to advise on schemes, large and small, from inception to completion and handover as he has been a residential developer for 16 years. With an ability to advise landowners and developers alike Linley & Simpson have a unique advantage over other local agents as our insight from the planning process to the construction program will play a vital part in taking a scheme through to successful sale.
Greg has personally been involved with developing sites ranging from new builds on Greenfield sites, conversions of old buildings in built up towns to barn conversions in remote areas. We are very much aware that the supply of good quality land, whether Greenfield or Brownfield, is the vital food source for hungry developers and with the improving property market Linley & Simpson are perfectly placed to source plots and sites in the best areas. We are also ideally placed to market, sell and where appropriate let the new completed units thereafter.
David Waddington - Land & New Homes Director
David's working life since the early 1980's has always been associated with property in various guises. This initially included estate agency for over 15 years and a similar period of time at Director/Senior Management level of many leading house building companies. Highlights have included being a director of Crosby Homes for nearly ten years, simultaneously for a period of 5 years he was a director of Berkeley Clarence Dock Company Limited and responsible for the sales and marketing activities and other associated duties for the Clarence Dock Development, Leeds which covered over 1 Million Square Feet.
Having always worked within the North of the country he has personally been involved in the changing skyline of many northern centres with iconic high rise development extending to over 2000 properties. Furthermore he has been involved in "leafy lane" housing in the form of some of the largest executive homes in the region whilst not losing sight of the importance of affordable and more cost efficient housing of all types.
David has a keen desire to assist experienced and novice developers alike to ensure a creative use of house design, mix and density to ensure viable, profitable development.
